Our 4 member team from Happy Dragon Feet – Chân Rong Vui had the privilege of visiting the Mái Ấm Hà Nội orphanage in Biên Hoà. As we packed up to leave, the children clustered around us, waving, smiling, and calling out their goodbyes. It was one of those moments that silently anchors itself in the heart. The shoes, the milk, the cookies—those were simple gestures. But the connection we shared, the laughter we heard, and the hope we witnessed were far more valuable than anything we brought.
Happy Dragon Feet visited the Xuân Tâm Orphanage, about 50 miles from Saigon. The scene felt like Christmas morning back home: wrapping paper crinkling and fluttering through the air, chatter bubbling in every corner, and shining faces discovering that this gift—unlike the used or hand‑me‑down donations they were accustomed to—was new… and truly theirs. Happy Dragon Feet – Chân Rong Vui returned to Nhà Bè district in Ho Chi Minh City to one of the earliest locations of its mission. The Trung Tâm Bảo Trợ Trẻ Em Mồ Côi Pháp Orphanage, "French Orphan Child Support Center" is a girls orphanage nestled within the grounds of a Buddhist pagoda. It is here we delivered Chân Rong Vui shoes, milk cartons, and special cookies. These gifts were given to 39 girls, ages 3 to 20 who are overseen by Sister Hương Thảo Thị Nguyễn. Happy Dragon Feet – Chan Rong Vui reached a new milestone: our very first visit to an orphanage on the African continent. Our visit was to a mountain side humble house that in the summer of 1987 had been transformed into a refuge for children from birth to 5 years old that had been orphaned.
